Yartambellos is defintely quite unique. A Cinsault varietal is relatively rare. This single vineyard micro vinification is the result of a successful collaboration between glass artist Yorgos Papadopoulos and oenologist Marinos Ioannou.
What the experts say
Maroulla Paul
Writer and oenophile
Yartambellos is perfect for the Cyprus climate. It has all the strength and flavour of a full bodied red but once it hits your palate you are pleasantly surprised. To be drunk in its first year, but with age comes a more cooked fruit palate and aroma, a tawnier colour and some minerality.
Marinos Demetriou
Oenologist at Novinophobia, Limassol
Yerambellos Cask is an intense ruby red wine with distinctive pomegranate aroma with notes of vanilla and sage. Juicy raspberry with noticeable acidity and discrete vanilla notes, balanced mouth with velvety tannins. An 'oaky' surprise from Yerambellos ready to drink now or keep for 2-3 years.
Alissa Tosoudi
Sommelier, Amathus Hotel
The wine is fruit forward and lively with the pronounced flavours of red fruits and berries like aronia, pomegranate, strawberries and tart cherry followed by layers of the slightly spicy notes of cracked red peppercorn and dried sage.
Demetri Walters
Master of wine
I particularly like the confluence of savoury, tarry, meaty notes, alongside a lovely lifted black cherry fragrance.
Maria Th. Massoura
Travel, food and drinks writer
If this vintage was a dessert, it would be a delicious pavlova decorated with just picked ripe red cherries.
George Kassianos
President Cyprus Sommelier Association
Lots of racy fruit flavours that bring back memories of carefree days lounging in the countryside.
Meet the vignerons
What would an acclaimed glass artist and a retired corporate lawyer have in common? A lot, but most importantly, a passion for their vineyard.

Strolling among the vines on the softly sloping land surrounded by the hills is a great experience any time of the day, any time of the year. But a déjeuner en vignes at dusk is just sublime. Come and see for yourself (by appointment only).
